Bésame
One Colombian, two gringos and a tuba player walk into a bar... No, seriously.
So, just what to dragons and Latin American music have in common? Sure, I could make up something about Quetzalcoatl and how he loved to dance, but the only known thing they have in common is a certain drummer who happens to like to doodle in
her spare time, and who is determined to make the most of her opening shindig for all who attend (with some substantial help from her friends, of course – thanks guys!).
To this end, Bésame will be providing musical entertainment from 5:00 to 6:00 as part of the festivities on April 25th. With special emphasis on the sounds of Colombia, Bésame will set your feet tapping with cumbias, porros, currulaos and other rhythms that have found their way into the international music scene with their own Bésame twist. Their powerhouse vocal mix is backed by a combination of guitar, soprano sax, tuba and wooden hand percussion that allows them to put out everything from rock band to big band orchestra.
